[LISTEN] Rhapsody of Realities Audio October 29 2023 By Pastor Chris Oyakhilome (Christ Embassy)
Theme: Trust And Rely On God Alone
Today’s Devotional emphasizes that In a world with imperfect human systems, believers are advised to place their ultimate trust in the Lord and His infallible Word. This trust provides discernment and wisdom for living triumphantly and manifesting God’s glory and righteousness. Trust in God’s wisdom and understanding over flawed human constructs
- Imperfect Human Systems: The world is filled with imperfect human systems and structures that often lead to failures and limitations. These inadequacies serve as reminders that ultimate trust should be placed in the Lord, who is completely reliable.
- Examples of Failures: The text highlights an example of a man who spent 37 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit due to the limitations of the human system. There are others who remain incarcerated for similar reasons.
- Human Nature: Humans naturally feel the need to trust and depend on something or someone. While trust is inherent, human systems are prone to failure due to human fallibility.
- Trust in the Lord: Believers are encouraged to shift their trust from fallible human systems to the Lord. Trust and rely on God alone by following and living by His Word. His principles, systems, and structures are reliable.
- Scriptural Wisdom: The text references scriptural wisdom from Jeremiah 17:7-8 and Psalm 37:3, emphasizing the benefits of trusting in the Lord. Reliance on God is compared to a tree planted by the waters, yielding fruit and being fed.
