 Highlights

  • The scripture from Hebrews 9:24 highlights that Christ entered into heaven itself, appearing in the presence of God for us.
  • The story of Mary Magdalene in John 20:11-18 illustrates the first appearance of the risen Lord. Mary initially didn’t recognize Jesus until He called her by name.
  • Before meeting with the disciples and being touched, Jesus needed to ascend to the Father as our High Priest and present His blood as a sacrifice for eternal redemption.
  • The Old Testament priests offered sacrifices yearly for atonement, but Jesus offered His own blood once and obtained eternal redemption for mankind.
