  • The Gospel should not primarily focus on the subject of sin, but rather on the message of love.
  • The message of repentance was apt for the Jews because they were under the Law, but non-Jews (Gentiles) were never under the Law.
  • All humans, both Jews and Gentiles, have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
  • The sin of the Gentiles was not breaking the Law, but being cut off from God’s glory due to Adam’s sin.
  • Through Christ, the glory is restored: “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).
  • The approach to the Gospel should begin with the message of love, as demonstrated by Jesus in John 3:16.
  • The Gospel of Christ is a message of love and a message of life—the life and nature of God—that His death, burial, and resurrection has made possible and available to everyone who believes.
