While facts provide information about what has happened or exists, truth transcends the senses and represents the ultimate reality. The Word of God is the source of truth, and it exposes motives, analyzes thoughts, and guides believers in all areas of life. By aligning with God’s truth, believers can experience freedom, walk in dominion, and overcome any challenge they may face.
- Jesus is the embodiment of truth. Without knowing Jesus, one can only find facts without accessing truth.
- Facts are assertions of sensorially verified information about something that exists or has happened, while truth goes beyond the senses and represents the reality of a matter.
- The Word of God is truth, and it affirms what God has said about any given condition, situation, or circumstance.
- Truth reveals motives, going beyond mere facts. In the justice system, understanding a person’s motive is crucial in determining guilt or innocence.
- Only God’s Word, which is living and active, can expose, analyze, and judge the thoughts and purposes of the heart.
- It is important to subject the facts of any situation to the truth of God’s Word and override facts with truths.
- Living by God’s truth empowers believers to walk in dominion over fear, sickness, poverty, and death.
