  • The scripture emphasizes the importance of praising God, highlighting it as our primary role.
  • God has different roles – as God, as Lord, and as our Father, and in each role, He expresses Himself differently.
  • Regardless of the role we play, God expects us to praise Him, making praise a central aspect of our relationship with Him.
  • The primary reason for gathering as God’s people is to offer praises to God.
  • Over time, the act of praising God had taken a back seat in the Church, but there has been a recent resurgence in this practice.
  • As God’s people, we are recognizing our role as priests to offer sacrifices of praise to God.
  • Our primary calling, as stated in 1 Peter 2:9, is to show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light.
  • Living according to our calling to offer praise to the Lord allows us to enjoy the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel of Christ.
  • Praise must have content; it involves offering words of praise and thanksgiving, making confessions of His greatness, grace, and glory.
  • The act of praising God involves declaring that there’s none like Him, acknowledging His everlasting kingdom, and His enduring dominion.
