Theme: Your Legal Authority To Use His Name

• Legal Authority in His Name: The text emphasizes the authority believers have been given to use the Name of Jesus. It refers to Mark 16:17-18, where Jesus explains that those who believe in Him will have the power to cast out devils, speak in new tongues, handle serpents, and be unharmed by deadly substances.
• Authority Through His Name: The text highlights the uniqueness of Jesus’ authority in casting out demons during His earthly ministry. People marveled at the authority and power with which He commanded unclean spirits to come out. It emphasizes that believers now possess the same authority through the use of His Name.
• Power of Attorney: Believers are reminded that they have been given the “power of attorney” to act in Jesus’ stead. They have the legal right to use His Name effectively.
• No Need for Argument: When dealing with Satan and his demons, there’s no need for fruitless arguments. Believers can confidently cast out demons using the Name of Jesus.
• Unstoppable Authority: The text asserts that no demon can resist or stand against the Name of Jesus, referencing Philippians 2:9-11. It underlines the universal authority and lordship of Jesus Christ.
