The Bible teaches that words are like seeds, and what you sow is what you reap. In Galatians 6:7, it says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Jesus also emphasized this concept in the parable of the sower, stating that the seed the sower sowed was the Word of God. He lets us know that words are seeds and that what you sow is what you reap. If you sow the right words into your life and future, they’ll produce the right harvest.

It’s essential to speak wholesome, righteous, and inspiring words that are consistent with God’s provisions. In Proverbs 15:4, Solomon connects words with seed, tree, and fruit, saying that a wholesome tongue is a tree of life.

A wholesome tongue is one that speaks life, health, healing, righteousness, and abundance. In contrast, perverseness in speech is a breach in the spirit. Therefore, always speak blessed words that bring life, health, healing, righteousness, abundance, peace, and joy.

Many people unknowingly bruise their spirits by speaking words that are inconsistent with the provisions of the Gospel. This is why it’s crucial to train yourself to talk right and speak blessed words. Your life goes in the direction of your words.

Colossians 4:6 says, “Let your speech (your words) be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.” In other words, don’t speak idle, inoperative, and uninspiring words, for you’d give account of your words.

Matthew 12:36 states, “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.”

Your life today is a result of all the words you’ve been speaking. Therefore, always speak well, and your life will go in the right direction. Confess positive affirmations and declare the promises of God over your life. The words you speak have the power to shape your life and create your reality. Speak faith-filled words that bring transformation and breakthroughs in every area of your life. As you do so, you’ll see the manifestation of God’s blessings in your life, and you’ll walk in victory always to the glory of His Name.
